This is the first "serious" question my kids asked me when they were little, they just couldn't understand it. Everything we see has a beginning, tables, cars, birds, even planets, so naturally God must have had a beginning too, right? No. The God of the Bible is ETERANL! He has no beginning and no end. He is the Uncreated Creator. He is not in the list (category) of things that can be made, because He has always existed.
This can be hard to understand, because we are so used to things coming from somewhere! But you see, there has to be someone or some Thing that has always existed that got everything started. Nothing else makes sense. Even scientists say this. An infinite regress is not logical. So, when someone asks who created God, they are asking, "Who created the Uncreated Creator?" Huh?? This makes no sense! :)
Pretend there are dominoes set up in a line ready to push over and get going and they are the only thing that exists. They just sit there and nothing will ever happen. If there's no one or no thing to ever push the first one and start the chain reaction, those dominoes will stand there FOREVER. The only way the dominoes will fall is if someONE with a mind decides to push them over and start the chain reaction.
Asking who created God is just a way of asking, what is the true first GOD.
The being that caused the universe to come into existence must be eternal, no beginning, the first cause. It's hard to wrap your head around this stuff so that's why I've gathered together some videos that will help sort all of this in your head.
